Founded in 2021, The Scaling School's journey began years earlier when our founder, Maria, as "head of Internet", took on the challenge of leading Internet Explorer's launch in the Nordic market at Microsoft.

Founded in 2021, The Scaling School's journey began years earlier when our founder, Maria, as "head of Internet", took on the challenge of leading Internet Explorer's launch in the Nordic market at Microsoft.
A strategy meeting with her team of Finns, Swedes, Danes, and Norwegians had turned into a "tragedy meeting" when everyone focused on their own agendas, and no one knew what to do next. Marias boss called and said the meeting was a disaster.
Maria stepped up, leading the team to co-create a plan with clear priorities, timelines, and tasks.
“When we co-create the plan together, everything we decide and come up with becomes directly actionable," she realised.
This consistent message, or as we say in the Nordics "the red thread/den röda tråden", unified the team's efforts. It transformed the Nordic region into Microsoft's fastest-growing market, with market share skyrocketing from 0% to 80% in just two years.
Building on this success, Maria founded Rosebud Ventures in 2000, helping hundreds of clients to progress their businesses.
Now, with The Scaling School, Maria is on a mission to empower even more people to scale their businesses and bring great ideas to market.
